Overview

Premiere Behavioral Supports is hiring an experienced Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Lake County, FL to provide in‑home ABA therapy and autism services while mentoring and training other behavior technicians. This is a leadership‑level RBT position offering $30 per hour for candidates with strong clinical skills, experience responding to challenging behaviors, and the ability to train staff in documentation, EHR systems, and behavior intervention implementation.

About the Role

The Lead RBT serves as a frontline clinical leader within our in‑home ABA program. This individual works closely with supervising BCBAs and agency leadership to ensure:

  • Behavior plans are implemented with fidelity
  • Documentation meets quality and compliance standards
  • New staff are trained correctly and confidently
  • Safety procedures are followed consistently

This is a hands‑on leadership position, not an administrative‑only role.

Core Responsibilities Staff Training & Onboarding
  • Train new RBTs on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including session notes and data accuracy
  • Conduct Blocking Pad training and model safe response procedures
  • Support new hires during shadow sessions and first weeks in the field
  • Reinforce company policies, professionalism standards, and documentation expectations
Behavioral & Clinical Support
  • Respond to behavioral escalations when additional support is needed
  • Model appropriate implementation of behavior intervention plans
  • Ensure staff are using correct prompting, reinforcement, and data collection procedures
  • Assist BCBAs with monitoring progress and identifying skill deficits
Incident Reporting & Quality Control
  • Collect and review incident reports for clarity and objectivity
  • Ensure incidents are documented and submitted within required timelines
  • Identify patterns in behaviors or safety concerns and report appropriately
  • Support corrective coaching when documentation or protocol errors occur
Field Leadership & Staff Support
  • Serve as a go‑to support person for RBT questions in the field
  • Provide constructive coaching in real time
  • Support morale while maintaining high standards
  • Communicate staff performance concerns to leadership
Additional Leadership Expectations

To maintain strong program integrity, the Lead RBT may also:

  • Conduct periodic documentation audits
  • Support competency assessments and retraining
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives
  • Help reinforce safety and emergency protocols
  • Provide structured feedback to BCBAs and leadership regarding field trends
  • Support training compliance and skill tracking
Qualifications
  • Active RBT certification in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years ABA experience required
  • Demonstrated experience responding to challenging behaviors
  • Strong documentation and data collection skills
  • Experience mentoring or training staff preferred
  • Professional communication skills
  • Reliable transportation within Lake County

In accordance with Florida state law, employment in this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a Level 2 background screening as required by Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This screening includes fingerprinting and a review of criminal history records and may also involve checks of abuse and neglect registries.
