Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the department of Experimental Radiation Oncology. The Postdoctoral Fellow will have the opportunity to work on various projects studying the roles of ferroptosis, disulfidptosis, and cuproptosis in tumor suppression and cancer therapy.
The lab currently studies metabolic cell death pathways, including ferroptosis, disulfidptosis, and cuproptosis in cancer. Representative publications include Nature 2021;

Learning ObjectivesThe postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to perform various projects through wet laboratory benchwork. Knowledge gained will allow them to contribute to seminars, presentations and publications. Additionally, they will learn scientific writing and management skills.
Eligibility Requirements- Education:
Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. degree in biological sciences. - Experience:
Experience in a biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, or cancer biology laboratory. A track record of excellent first-author publication during PhD training is essential. - Additional qualifications:
Strong background in one or more of the following areas: molecular or cell biology, biochemistry, metabolism, cancer genetics, or use of Mass Spectrometry-related technologies to study metabolism. - Preferred:
Candidates about to graduate with a Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. degree or who have graduated within the last 12 months.

MD Anderson offers full-time postdoctoral positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000, depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
