  • Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to support clinicians and maintain patient health.
  • Execute pharmacy workflow procedures (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care across all service channels and by offering immunizations and other health services when supported by training.
  • Provide patient counseling and answer medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Take telephonic prescriptions, clarify prescriptions, and facilitate medication changes as permitted by state regulations.
  • Offer in‑the‑moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members, sharing best practices.
  • Perform basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting bin inventories) as directed by leadership.
  • Actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge related to patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to other store locations.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and off‑site clinic staffing where permissible and supported by training.
Immunization Responsibilities
  • Complete additional licensure and training required to obtain Technician Immunizer status for vaccine preparation and administration.
  • Educate patients about vaccine importance and refer questions to the pharmacist‑on‑duty.
  • Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events as required by public health regulations.
  • Review, collect, and document patient information for each vaccination encounter.
Required Qualifications
  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE‑accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
  • Attention and focus – concentrate, pivot quickly between tasks, and confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
  • Customer service and team orientation – look for ways to help people in a friendly manner and understand patient reactions.
  • Communication skills – use verbal and written communication effectively, practice active listening, and ask appropriate questions.
  • Mathematical reasoning – use math to determine dosage calculations and supply needs.
  • Problem resolution – identify challenging interactions and select the best course of action.
  • Physical demands – lift, scan, and move items; reach, lift, and move items up to 20 lb with appropriate effort; maintain visual acuity for detailed tasks.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by a supervisor or manager.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
  • Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations permit.
  • Willingness to work from the home store and travel across the market to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
