Travel Physical Therapist

Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Sarasota, Florida.

Start Date:

ASAP.

Schedule:

40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts. This is a travel position with Fusion Medical Staffing.

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively.
• Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
• Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
• Assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home-based settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

• Required:
  
  Valid Physical Therapist license (Florida) and current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred:
  Doctorate in Physical Therapy; physical therapy experience (new grads welcome).
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
