Sample Rehab Tech

The Rehab Tech assists the therapists and assistants with patient related activities and direct patient care. The Rehabilitation Aide may assist with treatments only when under the direct supervision of a therapist. Refer to Medicare Regulations and state law for the definition of direct supervision.

Rehab Tech Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

Assist the therapist and assistant in clerical and patient, client, team member related duties

Participate in department meetings and in facility meetings as assigned

Perform clerical work as directed, including computerized activities

Consistently attends work and provides appropriate notice for scheduled vacations

Answer and direct phone calls

Develop and maintain a filing system

Assist with treatment as directed by therapist

Coordinate work activities with members of other departments and other staff within the rehabilitation department

Rehab Tech

Education and Experience:

High School graduate or equivalent.

Previous experience in patient/resident care in a nursing center, hospital or rehabilitation center preferred.
