As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled therapeutic interventions that help residents achieve their highest level of function and independence.
Key Responsibilities Deliver Skilled Therapy Services- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional performance.
- Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress toward established goals.
- Communicate observations and clinical updates to the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary team.
- Provide instruction on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and home programs to support continued success beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings.
- Contribute valuable insights to help optimize resident outcomes and discharge planning.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and documentation requirements.
- Support a safe, positive, and patient‑centered rehabilitation environment.
- Current and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Passion for helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.
