Job Summary

We are seeking an ARDMS-credentialed Sonographer on a full-time basis. As a Sonographer, or Ultrasound Technologist, you will provide ultrasound procedures to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients following established standards and practices under the direction of the Radiologist(s).

Responsibilities
  • Possess the appropriate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and disease processes relating to the areas of Ultrasound performed
  • Apply appropriate measurements relating to the study ordered and accurately measure and calculate regions of interest based on protocol
  • Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to pregnancy, allergies, lab results, correlative exam results, reason for study and patient specific symptoms or complaints
  • Assure all required documentation, forms, charges and patient's medical record are complete
  • Timely update all required fields within the Radiology MEDITECH module accurately and without reminders
Qualifications
  • Vocational/Technical School
  • ARDMS certification in areas of departmental practices (OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Vascular)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • One (1) to three (3) years of Ultrasound experience
