Job Summary And QualificationsAt HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. This full‑time Sonographer, or Ultrasound Technologist, will provide ultrasound procedures to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients following established standards and practices under the direction of the Radiologist(s). Responsibilities- Possess the appropriate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and disease processes relating to the areas of ultrasound performed
- Apply appropriate measurements relating to the study ordered and accurately measure and calculate regions of interest based on protocol
- Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including pregnancy, allergies, lab results, correlative exam results, reason for study and patient specific symptoms or complaints
- Assure all required documentation, forms, charges and patient's medical record are complete
- Timely update all required fields within the Radiology MEDITECH module accurately and without reminders
- Vocational/Technical School education
- ARDMS certification in departmental practice areas (OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Vascular)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- One to three years of ultrasound experience
