Working Title:
GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT II -
- Serve as lead to provide training and technical assistance to hospitals on requirements and recommendations for point-of-care cCMV screening. Analyze performance data to target technical assistance and training to underperforming hospitals. Training and technical assistance may include, but is not limited to, phone calls, emails/letters/faxes as well as in-person site visits.
- Partner with Hearing Screening Resource Coordinator to conduct in person and virtual technical assistance for non-compliant hospitals regarding cCMV and hearing screening reporting.
- Work with Quality Assurance and Training Unit staff to run, analyze and disseminate send monthly cCMV reports to hospitals. Make necessary data corrections identified through the monthly report process.
- Assist cCMV follow-up team to develop, update and maintain cCMV resources such as FAQs, guidelines, letters faxes and Report training.
- Participate in various work groups, meetings and conferences related to newborn hearing and cCMV screening or as assigned to educate and engage program stakeholders. Follow-up on actions related to these work groups, meetings, and conferences.
- Support and educate birthing centers and PCPs offices to increase cCMV screening and reporting. Educate PCPs on recommendations and best practices develop for cCMV confirmatory testing and medical management recommendations for positive cases.
- Serve as back up for other Quality Assurance and Training Unit staff as required.
- Perform other related administrative duties and responsibilities as required.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication, especially with parents of infants and toddlers who have been diagnosed with hearing loss risk factors or who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to schedule and coordinate assigned work responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of office procedures.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar usage.
- Knowledge of personal computers and software.
- Ability to handle telephone calls in a courteous and effective manner.
- Ability to read, understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to organize and maintain filing systems.
- Ability to compose correspondence.
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure completion of assignments.
- Ability to review work for accuracy and quality of content.
- The ability to travel.
- Need to have US driver's license
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following:
Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Administration, or a related degree. - One year professional experience in a hospital, clinic or public health agency in a patient care environment
- One year of professional experience preparing and presenting health-related information to diverse audiences.
