Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)!
Calling all those with a heart for care! We’re seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Whether you have previous PTA experience or are just beginning your journey, we welcome candidates who bring empathy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Experience is a plus—but not required.
In a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting, PTAs play a vital role in supporting residents through their rehabilitation journeys. You’ll be a guiding hand, a trusted support, and an essential part of our caregiving community. From assisting with therapeutic exercises to promoting mobility and independence, your daily work will have a lasting and meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
- Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.
- Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs.
- Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment, ensuring equipment is used appropriately.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and interdisciplinary teams to support overall care plans.
- Encourage resident participation and promote independence in daily functional activities.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA certification or license in the state of Florida.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or rehabilitating residents.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and other care team members.
- Compassionate, patient‑centered approach to care.
- Basic understanding of rehabilitation principles and SNF regulatory guidelines (preferred).
- Ability to lift, support, and assist residents safely during mobility and therapeutic activities.
