Port Orange- Phlebotomist

Job Overview

Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services and drug development solutions. We invite you to join us as a Phlebotomist in our Patient Service Center.

35 hours weekly, Monday through Friday 6am-2pm, rotating Saturdays.

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from an accredited agency (if not otherwise qualified by experience).

• Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  Reliable transportation.

Eligible PST may participate in the PST Incentive Plan which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including:
