Position Summary

This is a highly responsible OPS position within the Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+) Unit involved in the provision of technical assistance and guidance to CDC+ participants/representatives, consultants, Area CDC+ staff and others regarding the CDC+ program.

The Work You Will Do

Provides technical assistance and guidance to area staff, consultants and CDC+ participants/representatives, on procedural requirements, interpretive guidelines, implementation issues and best practices related to the CDC+ program.

Conducts complex research related to problems related to consumer’s monthly budgets, service authorizations, and related issues; and assists with timely resolution.

Reports discrepancies found in monthly claims to AHCA and creates a file listing all adjustments that are required for the F/EA to process. Sends the file to the appropriate CDC+ staff as needed, or at a minimum of once per week.

Reviews Purchasing Plans and Quick Updates and all related documents (including iConnect services and verification of background screenings) for accuracy and follows up with Area Liaisons/CDC+ Consultants to obtain additional/revised information as needed. Enters information in the CDC+PP system with accuracy and in accordance with established rules and timelines.

The employee field non-payroll related phone calls on payroll deadline days.

Serves as back‑up to the "expanded team" and, as needed, will perform accurate review and processing of CDC+ Application and Enrollment documents, provider information, EFT, Tax forms, and other related documents in the CDCPP system and CDCFEA system; will also apply for an EIN on behalf of the consumer.

Provides direct, individualized technical assistance to program participants and their support systems to resolve individual issues.

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Employees will safely retain all CDC+ consumer Personal Protected Health Information.
  • Must interact courteously with staff.
  • Must be productive under tight time frames, balance multiple competing priorities and maintain goal‑directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions.
