Education:
Successfully graduated from an accredited two-year program for physical therapist assistants, recognized by the appropriate accrediting agencyLicensure:
Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of FloridaExperience:
Prior experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is required; familiarity with skilled nursing facilities is a plusProfessional Membership:
Membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Associations is preferredInterpersonal
Skills:
Strong administrative and public relations skills to build effective relationships with patients and medical staffTherapeutic Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipmentSafety Awareness:
Knowledge of potential hazards during treatment and necessary safety precautions
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Active PTA license in Florida.
Current BLS certification.
Outpatient/Medicare Part B experience preferred.
1-2 years of experience preferred.
