Job SummaryWe are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist on a full‑time basis to operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization, as well as procedures performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status).
Responsibilities- Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and perform procedures in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner.
- Prepare and position patients and equipment safely and competently according to established operating procedures.
- Perform technical radiographic procedures accurately and timely as per established operating procedures and routines.
- Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
- Obtain high quality radiographic images; review image quality to ensure standards are met.
- Document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, including patient history, pregnancy status, allergies, and obtain informed consent per departmental policy.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, explaining procedures within scope of practice.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists.
- Serve as rotating call physician.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Associate Degree from a 2‑year AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Valid ARRT credential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1–3 years licensed experience in Radiology; one year of IR experience preferred.
- Experience in Angio, Peripheral and Neuro a plus.
