Physical Therapist AssistantKey Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks.
- Assist residents in improving strength, range of motion, and overall physical endurance.
- Monitor and document residents' treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with the supervising PT regarding residents' status, changes, and potential adjustments to care plans.
- Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety measures.
- Adhere to facility policies, professional practice standards, and regulatory requirements, including documentation and infection control.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid licensure/certification in the state of GA.
- CPR certification required (or must obtain upon hire).
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
