What We're Looking For We're searching for a compassionate, energetic professional who is passionate about helping others heal. The ideal candidate thrives in a flexible, relationship-centered role and is comfortable providing grief support in a variety of settings throughout Leon County and surrounding communities.

You bring strong clinical skills, experience working with youth and adults, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care while honoring the dignity and unique needs of every individual served.

Key Responsibilities Counseling & Bereavement Support Provide grief counseling, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and referrals to individuals and families before and after a hospice patient's death

Conduct bereavement risk assessments and follow-up services according to organizational guidelines

Offer short-term counseling and ongoing grief support to hospice families and community members

Provide support through in-person and telephone counseling

Youth & Family Programs Facilitate school-based grief support groups and youth bereavement programs

Support children's grief camps, remembrance events, and holiday programs

Help youth and families build healthy coping strategies and resilience following loss Group Facilitation & Community Outreach Plan and lead grief support groups and bereavement events

Deliver educational presentations to hospice staff, schools, community organizations, and healthcare partners

Serve as a community resource and liaison for grief and bereavement services

Interdisciplinary Collaboration Participate in care planning and Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings

Provide clinical insight regarding grief, bereavement, and family coping

Support hospice staff and volunteers through education and grief-related consultation

Professional Practice Maintain timely, accurate documentation

Attend meetings, training programs, workshops, and clinical supervision

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committee work Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirement

This opportunity is located in the Bay County area.

Education & Experience Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a related field

Required:

Experience counseling youth

Minimum of two (2) years of clinical counseling experienceLCSW preferred

Skills & Abilities Strong clinical counseling and assessment skills

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to build trust and rapport with clients of all ages Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Knowledge of professional standards, ethics, and regulations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems

Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and confidentiality

Schedule & Travel

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required
