Job PurposeThe MS Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves supporting individuals with mental health challenges, facilitating their journey towards improved emotional and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with licensed therapists to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and adherence to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress, and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health therapy and integrate new knowledge into practice.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Required
Education:
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution. - Required Experience:
Experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably with individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Familiarity with therapeutic techniques and interventions used in counseling and psychotherapy. Experience in case management and developing treatment plans tailored to individual client needs. - Required
Skills and Abilities:- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards in the field.
- Proficient in assessment and diagnostic skills to evaluate client needs and progress.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, with a commitment to supporting individuals in their mental health journey.
