Schedule: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for an acute inpatient rehab setting at HCA Florida JFK Hospital
.
This role involves assisting Physical Therapists in delivering rehabilitation care to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions.
Facility Information- Location: Atlantis, FL
- Setting: Acute Inpatient Rehab
- Unit Size: 42-bed inpatient rehab unit
- Charting System: Meditech
- Assist PTs in implementing treatment plans
- Provide therapy interventions including:
- Therapeutic exercises
- Gait and mobility training
- Balance and strength training
- Treat patients with:
- Orthopedic conditions
- Neurological disorders
- Cardiovascular conditions
- Monitor patient response and report progress to PT
- Support patient transfers and mobility activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team
- Acute inpatient rehab setting
- Exposure to diverse patient populations
- Team-based environment (PTs + PTAs + OT)
- No night shifts
- Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- (Comp days provided during weekdays)
- On-Call: None
Active Florida PTA License
BLS Certification (AHA required)
Minimum 1 year recent experience in:
- Inpatient Rehab OR
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Meditech EMR experience
Strong inpatient rehab background
Experience with orthopedic and neuro patients
Must have relevant inpatient/rehab experience
Must be flexible with scheduling based on patient volume
Weekend rotation required
Work in a top-tier teaching hospital
Exposure to multiple specialties (cardio, neuro, ortho)
Structured rehab unit with strong team support
No night shifts
Good experience-building role
- PTA with acute or rehab experience
- Strong in patient handling & mobility training
