Position: BA Emergency Evaluator - Shift 2 | Citrus County Crisis Support
Location: Beverly Hills

Job Purpose:

- The Emergency Evaluation (BA) primarily provides assessments and intervention services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and/or seeking substance abuse detoxification services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Demonstrates a cooperative attitude to problem solving and conflict resolution with all levels of staff and in all interactions with families and outside professionals.

- This position must interact with individuals, courts, agencies, law enforcement and other professionals within the Center and community to effectively plan for the client's treatment.

- Performs initial and preliminary assessment of individuals entering Life Stream Behavioral Center’s continuum of services.

- Documents all contacts and evaluations using established methods and protocol in a timely, legible manner and in accordance with Center policy and procedures.

- Assists individuals to obtain services not provided by the Access Center by linking to other programs within Life Stream or referring to professionals outside Life Stream’s array of services when necessary.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in crisis intervention and behavioral health services.

- The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance.

Required

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required

Required Experience:

- A minimum of 2-year behavioral healthcare experience required
- Experience working in emergency or acute care environments is preferred.

- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and crisis intervention techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.

- Proficient in maintaining accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and interventions.

- Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by shift assignments.
