Position Overview

Pro Active Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in scenic Miramar Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, implementing effective treatment plans, and contributing to the overall well-being of our diverse patient population.

We pride ourselves on our multi-disciplinary approach, offering specialized services in Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation.

Work

Environment

The work setting is onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation facility in Miramar Beach. Our facility fosters a collaborative atmosphere where our talented team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists work together to maximize patient outcomes. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs and clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, aiming to improve mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to promote physical well-being and alleviate pain.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to ensure continuity of care and support recovery at home.
  • Utilize advanced modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under professional supervision to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking changes in range of motion, strength, and other functional gains to inform ongoing treatment decisions.
  • Prepare treatment areas for sessions, ensuring all equipment and supplies are organized and available, promoting efficiency and safety during therapy.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, share insights, and develop comprehensive treatment strategies that address the full spectrum of patient needs.
  • Support and encourage patients emotionally throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and motivating environment.
  • Adhere rigorously to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting their rights and individual privacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will work with a diverse clientele, ranging from pediatric patients recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
  • Current and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop individualized treatment plans and implement them effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients and collaborate with team members.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, particularly in rehabilitation environments, is preferred.
  • Experience with various therapeutic modalities and treatment techniques, especially those relevant to our diverse patient population.
Compensation and Benefits
