WorkEnvironment
This position is primarily onsite, focusing on home care services. You will work within a diverse community, delivering care directly to patients' homes, which allows for adaptable treatment plans that meet the varied needs of individuals while fostering a supportive and empowering atmosphere. Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients, analyzing their medical history and performing thorough assessments to create individualized treatment plans.
- Effectively communicate the results of evaluations and the proposed treatment strategies to both patients and their families, actively involving them in goal-setting to promote engagement and motivation.
- Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, leveraging current best practices and acknowledging the evolving landscape of healthcare delivery to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient care, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, and discharge summaries that clearly depict the patient's progress and treatment trajectory.
- Assess patient responses to therapy, documenting any changes in their condition and adjusting treatment plans as needed while collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Engage in productive time management to meet productivity expectations while being punctual for meetings and participating in community-based marketing initiatives to enhance service accessibility.
- Actively participate in departmental goal setting and adherence to compliance regulations, contributing to overarching objectives aligned with organizational success.
- Seek out continuing education opportunities for personal and professional development, and mentor students in physical therapy to improve future caregiving standards.
As a Physical Therapist with Better Living Physical Therapy, you will cater to a wide range of patients in need of rehabilitation services. Our primary focus is on older adults and those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Each patient's journey toward recovery is unique, and you will play a vital role in enhancing their quality of life through tailored care strategies.
Qualifications- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid DPT license in the state of Florida is required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
While a minimum of two years of experience is preferred, new graduates with exceptional training and a passion for patient care are encouraged to apply.
