Your Specific Responsibilities:

This professional position islocatedwithin the Bureau of Communicable Disease, HIV/AIDS Section, Prevention Program. The primary responsibility is to collaborate with andadvisecounty health departments and community-based organizations (CBOs) on implementing the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative. The position serves as the programmatic lead for statewide EHE activities and coordinates efforts across Florida’s seven EHEjurisdictions. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance(TA), training, and guidance related to EHE service delivery, education, data collection, monitoring, and evaluation.

This position is based in the Department of Health’s State Health Office in Tallahassee and reports to the HIV Program Manager.

Key duties include delivering TA and training to support the incorporation, implementation, and evaluation of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) goals and objectives. The incumbent conducts programmatic monitoring, as appropriate, for Department-funded agencies providing EHE services. Travel is required to conduct on-site visits and provide TA and training to agencies on topics such as screening and counseling, service delivery, patient navigation, community engagement and education, adherence counseling, patient assistance programs, data collection, monitoring, and evaluation.

The position also identifies, explores, and disseminates training opportunities to county health departments, CBOs, health care providers, and other key partners. Coordination with local contract managers is required to ensure TA and training support for funded EHE service providers. Additionally, the position evaluates counties to assess the effective use of resources and compliance with applicable state and Department of Health laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines, protocols, and program objectives.

This role alsoassistswith budget management, financial reporting and reconciliation, and expenditure tracking for federal and state funding. The position supports the development of the annual cooperative agreement application and interim and annual progress reports for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It also contributes to the development, implementation, and review of requests for proposals, invitations to negotiate, and other procurement instruments.

This position alsoassistswith contract procurement, development,management and oversight.
