Physical Therapist Assistant

Role Overview: The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being within the scope of practice.

• Follow state laws and supervised treatment plans, performing only qualified procedures, and recommend plan adjustments to the supervising PT.
• Assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within the assistant's scope.

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy.
• CPR certification, valid driver's license, reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home settings and assist with physical tasks like lifting and transferring.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
