Position TitlePRN Pharmacy Technician
Position SummaryThe PRN Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy support services under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a military treatment facility. This position is scheduled on an as-needed basis to assist with patient care and pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities- Prepare, package, label, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Process prescription orders and maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, and medication storage.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems and automation equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure pharmacy environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
- Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience.
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification and/or state registration as required.
- One (1) year of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required government credentials and pass applicable background screening.
PRN employees work on an as-needed basis. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM based on operational needs.
Working Conditions and EnvironmentThis position is on-site in a medical facility. Driving may be required.
Physical RequirementsThe position requires repetitive motion, such as standing, walking, sitting and bending. Light lifting, up to 20 pounds, may be required.
