Lakeside Neurologic located in Wauchula, FL is currently accepting resumes for the position of Administrative Assistant-Health Education Services.

Lakeside Neurologic is a leader in treating pediatric and adult survivors of traumatic brain injury. Lakeside Neurologic is licensed by AHCA and accredited by CARF & The Joint Commission. The facility is located on a beautiful 900 acre campus just outside of Wauchula, FL.

• Schedule resident medical, dental, optometry, and other specialist appointments. Coordinate medical transports for residents, verify insurance for transports and appointments. Maintain resident transport books, update monthly and as needed.
• Verify completion of resident appointments, consultation notes, physician office notes, and recommendations.
• Assist the Doctor’s with examinations by getting resident s to the exam room, gathering necessary supplies, providing medical records, and obtaining vital signs.
• Scan and upload documents to the EMR system.
• Assist in EMR chart audits.
• Assist in completing Medical Records Request.
• Provide ICD-10 Codes for medical diagnosis.
• Responsible for compiling some of the monthly and quarterly reports for all residents at Lakeside Neurologic by the due dates requested.
• Assist as a Medication Technician during medication administration as needed.
• Assist in medication room audits.
• Assist DOHS, and Medical Director as needed.
• Complete resident urinary drug screens and employee pre-employment, random and post injury urinary drug screens. Order UDS supplies and forms and ensure ample amount of both are in supply.
• Order HES stock medical supplies.
• Other administrative duties necessary to maintain our daily business needs.

High School Diploma or GED required. Medical experience preferred. Experience with Point of Care, Microsoft Excel and understanding of medical technology. Must be a team player and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all interdisciplinary team members.
