The Regulatory Program Specialist works in the Florida Department of Health's Division of Medical Quality Assurance, Bureau of Operations, supporting the licensure maintenance of healthcare practitioner licenses. The role involves processing license renewals and certifications, assisting with complex regulatory inquiries, conducting research in licensing databases, and providing direction to healthcare professionals regarding their license status. The incumbent must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and work independently while ensuring accuracy of licensee data and compliance with department rules and statutes.
Keyqualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience handling inbound calls and/or chats
- Minimum 2 years processing licensure or renewal applications
- Ability to interpret and apply continuing education and financial responsibility rules
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in public-facing settings
- Knowledge of office procedures and working knowledge of word processing, email, and spreadsheet software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a professional office environment
