Located on the tip of Captiva Island along Florida’s Gulf Coast,
South Seas is a premier island resort destination known for unforgettable weddings, corporate retreats, social celebrations, and coastal gatherings. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to support our Events, Sales, and Marketing teams in delivering exceptional experiences for our guests and clients.

Position Summary

The Events Coordinator plays a key support role in the planning process. This position works closely with Sales, Catering, Marketing, Banquets, and Operations to ensure seamless communication and accurate documentation. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized, proactive hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced resort environment and enjoys working with events.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour, non-exempt

Key Responsibilities Event & Sales Support
  • Assist in coordinating weddings, corporate meetings, group events, and social functions.
  • Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room diagrams, timelines, and internal documentation.
  • Communicate event details clearly with operational departments.
  • Support site visits, tastings, and client meetings as needed.
  • Ensure contracts, deposits, and event documentation are tracked accurately.
Marketing Collaboration
  • Partner with Marketing on event promotions, social media content, and resort activations.
  • Help maintain updated event collateral and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate orders according to brand standards.
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Maintain accurate event files, CRM records, and answer incoming calls.
  • Assist with reporting, event forecasting, and revenue tracking.
  • Respond to event inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, events, catering, sales, or marketing.
  • Resort or hotel experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event management or CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when events require.
  • Professional demeanor with strong client‑facing skills.
