Northwood Hospitality LLC d/b/a Cheeca Lodge & Spa (Islamorada, FL). Four openings. Temporary, full-time job from 10/1/2026 – 07/31/2027. Work to be performed at multiple properties in Monroe County, FL. Minimum 35 hours per week.
Shifts:
Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00am to 2:00pm, or 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
Duties:
Responsible for welcoming guests, opening doors, keeping entry areas and courtyard clean, unloading, and transporting guests' luggage by hand or baggage cart, valet service, responding to guest issues and acquainting guests with amenities. Valet service includes greet arriving guests. Open vehicle doors for guests and assist with entry and exit from vehicles. Issue valet tickets, recording vehicle information including license plate number, make/model, and time of arrival.
Safely drive, park, and retrieve guest vehicles. Inspect vehicles for pre-existing damage upon arrival and report any issues per company protocol. Retrieve vehicles promptly upon guest request. Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the valet podium, parking areas, and entrance zone. Assist with unloading and loading of luggage. Transport luggage to rooms and storing luggage in the bell valet closet for later transport into the rooms.
Requirements:
One (1) year of Bell Person/Bellstand experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club required. On-the-job training is provided. Applicant must provide Pre-employment Criminal Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Test is required.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Skills and Experience (Essential):
- At least 21 years of age
- Must possess valid and current driver-s license
- Must be able to read, communicate effectively and have superb interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints
Skills and Experience (Preferred):
- Work experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred
- Communication in other languages is helpful
