ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the coordination and administration of departmental human resource (HR) transactional functions supporting adjunct faculty and hourly staff for the College of Law. Utilizes extensive knowledge of the College of Law operations to interpret policies, analyze workforce data, coordinate personnel actions, and provide recommendations to College leadership in support of operational and strategic objectives.
- Interprets and applies University, College of Law, and state policies related to the transactions of adjunct faculty, OPS hourly, and OPS exempt staff. Analyzes departmental workforce data, position structures, and operating practices to identify departmental opportunities for improvement. Recommends and implements policy-based solutions and procedural improvements to the Assistant Dean and College leadership. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in resolving complex administrative matters that may significantly impact the College of Law operations.
- Coordinates and implements OPS Human Resource actions for the College of Law, including OPS Hourly, OPS exempt, Adjunct Faculty, courtesy and OTP appointments. Responsible for departmental workflow of OPS recruiting, hiring, onboarding, offer letters, appointment changes, terminations, RAMP Export Controls, and time and leave processing. Ensures HR actions are executed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, University, and College requirements.
Provides guidance to supervisors throughout the employment lifecycle in collaboration with Central HR. Serves as backup FACET representative. - Participates in long-range planning and forecasting related to OPS expenditures for instructional, clinical, research, and co-curricular programs, including TIA, JM, Mock Trial, Moot Court, and Trial Team. Tracks appointment usage, departmental compensation levels, and expenditure trends, and provides data-informed recommendations to support staffing and budget decisions.
- Maintains College of Law OPS personnel files in compliance with records retention requirements. Prepares College of Law data and reports for audits, leadership requests, and special initiatives. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve HR departmental workflows, documentation, and communication practices.
- Serves as the College of Law OPS employees’ liaison with Central HR, Payroll, Academic Affairs, and other University partners. Coordinates cross-functional resolution of complex problem solving and ensures consistent interpretation and application of policies across the College.
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (
Note:
a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Anticipated Salary RangeStarting salary in the low to mid $40,000's commensurate with education and experience.
