As a Compensation Specialist
, you will play a key role in supporting our university’s compensation and classification programs.
- Manage ePAF processes, including final approvals, documentation review, and troubleshooting routine system issues.
- Process supervisory updates and manual personnel actions with precision and timeliness.
- Partner with FSU Payroll to ensure compensation actions are executed accurately.
- Monitor key compensation reports and queries to help ensure employees receive accurate pay.
- Support system updates and testing to enhance HR processes and tools.
- Triage and route Compensation Salesforce cases, shared inbox communications, and digital documents to the right teams.
- Maintain and update department-wide and University-wide organizational charts using Smart Draw.
- Contribute to special projects and provide general support to the Compensation & Classification team.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources or a related field; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of the same experience. (
Note:
post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
- At least two years of human resources or administrative support experience.
- Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
- Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
