Human Resources Manager OVERVIEW:
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates all human resource processes. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
• Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
• Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
• Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
• Assists with processing of terminations
• Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
• Assists with recruitment and interview process
• Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process
• Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Human Resources Manager
• Makes copies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
• Files documents into appropriate employee files
• Prepares new-employee files
• Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations
• Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
• Communicates benefits information to employees
• Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings
• Conducts new hire orientations
• Payroll functions
• Maintains good working relationship with union officials and adheres to terms of labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions
• Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner
• Maintains human resource information system
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
