The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Lead Human Resources Specialist (NH-0201-03) to work at the 96 Test Wing, 96 Force Support Squadron, 96 FSS/FSCAS at Eglin Air Force Base.
The Lead Human Resources Specialist position is to serve as a Team Leader responsible to their higher-level supervisors/managers for assuring work of the assigned team is carried out by performing a range of planning, coordinating, coaching, facilitating, and related supportive duties and responsibilities. Exercises Lead Personnel Program Manager responsibilities over Civilian Personnel Programs and as senior subject matter expert performing duties of researching, developing, and recommending new and innovative corporate policies, practices, and processes for the management of civilian personnel policy and programs for the Civilian Personnel Flight (FSC).
The position performs official team lead duties over subordinates with primarily journeyman level job experience by directing/overseeing projects, assignments and performing work assignments and/or studies encompassing the Civilian Personnel Office and assigned units. Program development and oversight includes one or more of the following:
Staffing, Affionative Employment in overall support for the Force Support Squadron (FSS) mission and functional responsibility.
96TH TEST WING MISSION:

Typical 2026 salary range: $89,508 - $138,370 per year (includes Locality)
Travel Requirements:
Up to 10 days per year

Major Duties:
- Performs technical and administrative team lead duties over employees , identifying, distributing, assigning, and balancing workload and tasks amongst employees by skill level, proficiency and/or occupational specialization, making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of subordinate work assignments.
- Articulates and communicates to the team and individuals, assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, program issues under review and/or time frames for completion of assigned work based on supervisor’s instructions.
- Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that instructions and work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality expectations assigned to employees have been met.
- Ensures the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to subordinates and integrated into the assignments, strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
- Consistently exercises independent judgment in directing and assigning work amongst employees by using determinative factors such as team members’ expertise, experience, competence, workload availability, work priorities and team member functional development.
-Monitors and intercedes with the status and progress of work daily, reviewing for technical accuracy of in-work and completed projects. - Establishes, defines, and implements requirements for the pre-employment team to ensure operations align with regulatory requirements, federal law, policy, and processes to support goals, and mission requirements.
- Develops, monitors, and analyzes applicable statistical data to track operating programs, evaluate program effectiveness and applicability to strategic goals, and plan improvements.
