Communications Network Engineer - Level 3

Location: Fort Meade

Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Communications Network Engineer III who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.

Job Description:
Monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots and evaluates hardware, software and other network related problems.

Manages the performance and configuration of the global networks and systems. Performs general LAN/WAN/CAN administration.

Schedules conversions and cutovers. Coordinates with all users and sites to resolve network or system incidents.

Responsible for monitoring, tracking and evaluating global Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) incidents.

The Communications Network Engineer III shall possess the following skills:

Translates business requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs and orders.

Performs in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives.

Coordinates telecommunication services to support installations and maintenance.

Resolves problems to include performance and configuration.

Salary: $104k to $232k depending on experience and contract.
Excellent benefits package, including up to 3 weeks paid vacation and 11 paid holidays. Eligible for health care (single and family) immediately. 401(k) plan with employer match available.

Qualifications:
10 years experience as an Engineer. A Masters Degree in a field related to engineering from an accredited college or university is required. In lieu of a Masters Degree, a Bachelors Degree and an additional 4 years of experience is required.
