The Database Administrator (Advanced) will design, develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise database environments across SQL Server, Oracle, Postgre
SQL, and GIS platforms. The role supports critical applications and data architectures, ensuring performance, security, availability, and adherence to organizational standards.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise database administration.
- Experience working with GIS and spatial databases, including Postgre
SQL and Oracle. - Strong experience with SQL Server 2012 or later.
- Strong experience with Oracle 19c or later.
- Experience managing ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud‑based GIS services such as ArcGIS Online or Azure GIS.
- Experience with Azure SQL (preferred but not mandatory).
- Perform daily operational tasks related to SQL Server, Oracle, Postgre
SQL, and GIS database administration. - Design, implement, and support database structures, schemas, and architecture.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and ongoing monitoring of database environments.
- Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and database maintenance processes.
- Conduct SQL, Oracle, and Postgre
SQL code reviews. - Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and technical teams to build secure and scalable database solutions.
- Provide knowledge transfer, training, and mentoring to other technical staff as needed.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts, schema design, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of ESRI SDE Geodatabases and spatial data structures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex enterprise database issues independently.
- Ability to create detailed technical specifications for database solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
