Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, information systems, computer science or related field. Minimum eight (8) years’ experience working in IT operations, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience overseeing with management responsibilities (budget development, personnel management). Specialized certifications and continuing education highly preferred. Possession of a valid State of Florida driver’s license.
Special Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, software, and storage systems.Knowledge of online platforms and electronic communications.Knowledge of applicable laws, statutes, and regulations regarding publicly operated computer networks.Skill in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Ability to share technical expertise with others.Ability to evaluate information, demonstrate initiative, make decisions, and coordinate programs efficiently.Ability to present findings effectively (written or orally) with City personnel and the general public.Essential Functions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages City information technology (IT) operations in cooperation with Flagler County personnel.Designs and implements IT strategies and infrastructure.Develops cybersecurity policies and procedures.Identifies and eliminates security risks.Analyzes requirements for IT needs and systems.Supports City’s online presence and communications (streaming, website, social media).Evaluates IT operations with regard to established goals.Assesses need for new equipment and software.Prepares and manages departmental budget.Builds and maintains relationships with hardware/software vendors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
