We are seeking a Human-Centered Design (HCD) Experience Architect who blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. This role focuses on shaping the future direction of digital experiences while also contributing directly to the research, testing, and design activities that make those experiences intuitive, useful, and engaging.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, designers, and software development teams to ensure user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints remain aligned. Some days you'll be defining experience strategy and roadmaps; other days you'll be conducting usability testing, synthesizing insights, or reviewing designs.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their craft, naturally curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity without requiring everything to be fully defined upfront.
Key Responsibilities Strategy & Direction- Conduct ongoing user research to inform experience priorities and product direction.
- Develop and evolve personas, journey maps, and experience frameworks.
- Support experience roadmaps by connecting user insights, business value, and delivery realities.
- Partner with stakeholders to align on vision, goals, and success criteria.
- Plan and facilitate usability testing, design reviews, and feedback sessions.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and synthesise insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Identify experience challenges, uncover root causes, and propose practical solutions.
- Support discovery and research efforts for both near-term delivery and long-term planning.
- Translate insights into usable artifacts and guidance for delivery teams.
- Work closely with business partners to understand needs, constraints, and success metrics.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure experience intent is preserved through implementation.
- Act as a connector between business, design, and development teams.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly, honestly, and in an actionable way.
- Explore and pilot new tools and workflows, including AI-enabled research or design support.
- Stay informed on how AI may shape future user experiences while applying sound human judgment.
- Bachelor's degree in UX, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Strategy, Business, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in UX, digital strategy, product design, or human-centered research roles.
- Strong foundation in Human-Centered Design principles, research methods, and synthesis techniques.
- Experience supporting both strategic initiatives and hands-on delivery work.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional, delivery-focused teams.
- Proficiency in Figma for collaborative design and reviews.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar agile project management tools.
- Working knowledge of AI-powered tools used in design, research, or synthesis, with a willingness to experiment and learn.
- Curious, thoughtful, and user-focused.
- Pragmatic—knows when to explore and when to move forward.
- Highly collaborative with both business and technical partners.
- Comfortable working independently within a defined problem space.
