Job Title: Digital Accessibility Specialist & Web Designer (OPS-Creative Services - Medicine)

Department: College of Medicine, Creative Services
Responsibilities- Review and update PDFs, web pages, and other digital materials to ensure compliance with State and Federal ADA accessibility guidelines, accessibility standards, and mobile-first web design best practices.
- Maintain and update existing College of Medicine web pages using Drupal CMS.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, and other team members to ensure cohesive digital branding.
- Troubleshoot layout or functionality issues as they arise.
- Work proactively and communicate effectively with supervisors and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility best practices (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA) and mobile-first web design.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and PHP.
- Experience with Drupal (or comparable open-source content management systems).
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dream Weaver).
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a higher education or a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles and web analytics tools.
- Basic understanding of SEO and web content strategy.

Anticipated Salary Range$20.00 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
