Software Engineer III

Kavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer III to support a client in Maryland.

Job Description:
Kavaliro is seeking a SWE3 to collaborate with a Government customer to migrate operational mission capabilities from on-premises hardware to AWS Cloud compute infrastructure. The candidate must have demonstrable experience assisting in the implementation and support of large-scale cloud systems and services on AWS, from application rehosting to Cloud Native re-architecting. Core technologies and experience include microservices, containers, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and Dev Ops practices.

AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred but not required for an experienced candidate.

• Experience with the USAIC AWS Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure
• 20+ years of experience in IT/Development
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders on planning, architecture, design, and implementation of AWS solutions
• Experience with System Security Plans (SSP), accreditation, and cost optimization
• Knowledge of AWS managed services, Cloud frameworks, and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, Git Lab)

• This position is onsite; remote work is not available

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required
