Senior Data Architect / Senior Data Analyst
Seeking a Senior Data Architect / Senior Data Analyst to lead the analysis, redesign, and implementation of data models and data integration processes supporting this transition, with a strong focus on data quality, reporting, and cloud compatibility.
Scope of ServicesAnalyze and validate existing Work Program Datamart and General Ledger data models.
Assess impacts resulting from Florida PALM Chart of Accounts and standardized business process changes.
Identify dependencies on current accounting structures and determine required remediation.
Conduct impact analysis on reports, applications, and downstream systems to ensure continuity of business operations.
Design and document enhanced data models incorporating Florida PALM data elements.
Ensure data models are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.
Support both current operational needs and future analytical and reporting requirements.
Review existing ETL processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Design and implement data quality controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Support automated data refresh schedules (e.g., nightly, hourly, or ad hoc).
Collaborate with development teams to streamline and modernize ETL workflows.
Provide best-practice guidance for financial data visualization and reporting.
Ensure reporting frameworks remain compatible with updated data models.
Support business users in effectively analyzing and interpreting financial data.
Work closely with development teams to deploy updated data models and ETL processes.
Validate implementations against functional and business requirements.
Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and OIT.
Communicate system impacts, data changes, and timelines clearly and effectively.
Assessment report of current Work Program Datamart and General Ledger data models.
Updated data model designs aligned with Florida PALM requirements.
Documentation of ETL enhancements and data quality controls.
Best-practice guidelines for data visualization and reporting.
Implementation and deployment plan for revised data models.
Regular status updates and presentations to stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.
7+ years of experience with large, complex database management systems.
7+ years of experience as a data architect or senior data analyst.
10+ years of experience with DBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
Strong experience with financial data systems, data modeling, and data governance.
Proven experience with ETL tools and data warehousing solutions.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake).
Experience with Informatica (Cloud Data Integration, Governance, or Catalog).
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience supporting large-scale government or enterprise financial systems.
