Responsibilities
- Perform management activities on Microsoft Azure Entra Active Directory.
- Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft server and Azure resources.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and resources.
- Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation.
- Collaborate with OIT, data center staff, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Administer and configure Azure infrastructure security as needed for OIT staff and users.
- Assist Azure application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate application access.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues with minimal impact on users.
- Develop and write Power Shell scripts to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management activities.
- Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements.
- Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department’s infrastructure team.
- Create schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems.
- Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.
- A minimum of five (5) years of Windows Server administration experience, including three (3) or more years administering Windows Server 2016 and newer.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Azure or cloud technologies.
- A minimum of two (2) or more years of AWS experience.
A minimum of five (5) or more years of Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), and Group Policy administration experience in an enterprise environment with 1,000 or more users. - A minimum of three (3) or more years of Linux server experience.
- Experience writing, testing, and executing Power Shell scripts.
- Experience working in a virtual server/Cloud environment.
- Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting 3rd party applications.
