Application Architect IntroductionAn Application Architect is a key role within our team, responsible for leading the design and development of applications in a cloud computing environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in application development, change management, and managing technology projects.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of applications in the Azure environment
- Design and develop .NET applications using Entity Framework
- Manage information technology projects and create detailed project documentation for Executive Management
- Facilitate change management procedures and manage a mix of local/virtual teams
- Lead external stakeholder groups and ensure successful technology projects
- Create and review Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and understand data and processes
- Utilize MVC for application development
- Implement Azure Build and Deployment automation processes
- Utilize Azure Dev Ops for pipelines, triggers, blob storage, data migration, data warehouse, scheduling VMs, and Webjobs
- Integrate Azure ASE and Azure Data Warehouse with SQL MI
- Utilize Reporting Tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Power BI
- Conduct Azure cost analysis for projects
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing information technology projects
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing detailed project documentation for Executive Management
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with change management procedures
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with managing a mix of local/virtual teams
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with management and facilitation of external stakeholder groups
- Ten years of leadership of successful development and implementation of applications in Azure environment
- Ten years of architect/tech lead, design and development experience with .NET application and Entity framework
- Ten years of experience leading technology projects
- Ten years of experience creating and reviewing ERDs and understanding data and processes
- Five years of experience with MVC
- Ten years of experience with Object-Oriented programming, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and application development using C#
- Five years of experience with Azure Build and Deployment automation processes
- Five years of experience with Azure Dev Ops, including pipelines, triggers, blob storage, data migration, data warehouse, scheduling VMs, and Webjobs
- Experience with Azure ASE and integration with SQL MI
- Experience with Azure Data Warehouse and integration with SQL MI
- Five years of experience with Reporting Tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI or similar technologies
- Five years of experience with Azure cost analysis
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience
