General Description
The Court Technology Department provides direct support for all judges, magistrates, hearing officers, and associated staff within the Firth Judicial Circuit. The Court Technology Project Manager coordinates and manages the design, acquisition, and implementation of major technology projects. Ensures technology programs meet the Court standards, values, goals, objectives, and provide maximum value to the organization. Focuses on continuous improvement of project related processes, methodologies, documentation, communications, governance, change control, project implementation, execution, and overall project success.
Serves as the primary contact for all technology projects and provides project support to Court staff. May be responsible for training, assisting users, and communicating with external stakeholder groups. Works independently with minimal oversight, reporting major activities through periodic conferences and meetings.
The typical schedule for this full-time position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is located at the Citrus County Courthouse, Inverness, Florida.

Essential Functions
- Manages and maintains the Court Technology project portfolio and product roadmaps for existing, upcoming, and proposed projects; provides analysis and ensures projects are aligned with leadership objectives.
- Serves as primary contact for all Court Technology projects and is consulted on all internal and external initiatives with a technology component; provides project support to Court technology staff as appropriate.
- Consults with Courts and internal departments to gather information and determine project needs and requirements for future implementation.
- Participates in the organization's strategic planning and helps translate it into a technology tactical plan.
- Ensures technology programs meet the Court standards, values, goals, and objectives, and provide maximum value to the organization.
- Adheres to project management requirements as adopted by the Court; meets Court Technology standards; ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations and laws; and ensures design and implementation procedures make use of appropriate information engineering principles under the framework as adopted by Court Technology department.
- Performs IT related organizational, systems, problem-solving, statistical, and graphical analyses as required to provide operational support.
- Conducts training on various technology systems; creates training documentation, course materials, etc.
- Provides assistance with department budget management, such as preparing budget requests, performing budget analysis, or preparing cost proposals.
- Prepares reports and fulfills information requests.
- Provides staff and support for the Fifth Judicial Circuit Technology Advisory Committee and other project-related governance bodies.
- Attends or conducts staff and other professional meetings to exchange information.
- Attends technical or professional classes, workshops, or seminars to improve technical or professional skills. Attends seminars and conferences.
- Research, compiles, and assembles information to be used by others. Compares data and information and generates regular reports.
- Travel within the Fifth Circuit is required.

Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, management, finance, or a closely related field. Progressively responsible experience in project management may substitute for the recommended college education on a year for year basis.
- Three (3) years relevant experience.
- PMI or CompTIA Project+ Certification preferred.
- Must successfully pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check and maintain a current CJIS Level 4 Security Awareness Certification. These requirements exist at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.
