Job Overview
A Registrar Technology Support, or Systems Analyst is for the Office of the Registrar, which interacts with nearly every office on campus from admissions through alumni, to support the degree audit program (Degree Works), implementation of FASTER transcript delivery, and integration and alignment of systems and processes within and without the Office of the Registrar, with a goal of improving student experience and identifying efficiencies to streamline processes.
Responsibilities- Facilitate seamless transitions and connections between systems and departments.
- Coordinate implementation, testing, and improvements with IT and other offices including Housing, Space Management, Admissions, Financial Aid and Finance & Accounting.
- Analyze, identify ways to increase efficiencies, streamline, and create an improved experience for users – especially students.
- Access and identify what is needed to implement issuance of the FASTER transcripts per BOG regulations.
- Assist to develop a transcript refresh (add course numbering).
- Support implementation of Degree Works, Ellucian Experience, and other initiatives such as paperless student records; review and recommend reporting, workflows and processing, updates and maintenance to Student and Faculty self‑service, FERPA tracking, etc.
- Routinely utilize multiple software products, and must coordinate for syncing with other offices and their systems. The systems include:
- NAIA Connect (athletics, compliance)
- NAIA Eligibility Center (athletics, compliance)
- ARMS (athletics)
- Banner:
Degree Works degree audit, Online registration, Faculty Self Service, Student Self Service, Ellucian Experience SES - Argos (reporting)
- Dynamic (online) Forms
- Soft Docs (digital student files)
- Mazevo (classroom assignments)
- Canvas (sync with Banner, badging)
- Ethos, ILP (connectors between Canvas, Experience and Banner)
- Parchment – transitioning from Diplomas on Demand (diplomas)
- Handshake (in coordination with CEO office)
- Course Leaf (catalog)
- UC4 (run processes out of Banner)
- Bookstore – Follett, sync with Banner, rooms set up)
- IR Reporting coordination – use Power BI, EdSights chatbot
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Minimum A.A. 1-3 years experience with workflows, systems, integration, databases, reporting. Extensive experience in systems and higher education preferred.
- B.A. or higher preferred; 3 or more years experience in Higher Education.
- Experience with Student Information System (SIS) particularly Banner, also Argos, Degree Works or similar software.
