UI​/UX​/Web Designer

Responsibilities

• Human factors engineering, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing for Web and client-based applications, as well as metrics setting and monitoring for assessing usability.
• Improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of Web sites in collaboration with Graphic Designers, Product Managers, Engineering Staff, and other Web Designers.
• Perform usability tests, provide design prototypes, and offer ad‑hoc user interface consulting.
• Gather and articulate user interface requirements, including development of page/site prototypes.
• Apply user‑centered design methodology, user scenarios, usability testing, storyboarding, paper, and interactive prototypes.
• Integrate design into program rules and system architecture, creating innovative approaches to improve the end‑user experience.
• Work with graphic applications, HTML development tools, and other authoring tools; produce Web content and front‑end development using programming and scripting languages.
• Ensure platform/browser compatibility and address basic usability issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years combined IT and graphic design experience, strong understanding of HTML, Web generators, and photographic libraries.
• Portfolio of websites or solutions.
• Experience with human factors engineering, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing for Web and client-based applications.
• Experience improving usability, usefulness, and desirability of Web sites in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience performing usability tests, providing design prototypes, and consulting on user interface design.
• Experience in requirements gathering and articulating user interface issues, including development of page/site prototypes.
• Proficiency in user‑centered design methodology, user scenarios, storyboarding, and interactive prototypes.
• Experience integrating design into program rules and system architecture, creating innovative approaches to improve the end‑user experience.
• Experience with graphic applications, HTML development tools, authoring tools, Web production, and front‑end development using programming and scripting languages.
• Experience with platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.

• Five or more years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer.
