The Senior SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for providing MS SharePoint and Project Server/PWA administration, including configuration and maintenance of a SharePoint Server or Farm, promoting user adoption, monitoring available storage, formulating and implementing strategy, assisting in the execution of a governance plan, and remediation of identified vulnerabilities. Additional responsibilities include implementing compliance and discovery, negotiating SLAs, enforcing ownership of applications and sites with stakeholders, collaborating with developers and testing backups, troubleshooting and resolving problems with MS Project Server and SharePoint, and installing and maintaining third‑party add‑ons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and managing an on‑premises SharePoint Server, a Farm or Project Server PWA.
  • Configuring all service applications such as Search, Metadata, User Profile Synchronization, and creation and maintenance of a content database.
  • Maintenance of various logging databases in SQL Server.
  • Configuring timed jobs according to business requirements.
  • Designing and implementing new features for a PWA application.
  • Troubleshooting issues such as connection failures, failed jobs, application errors, server alerts, space thresholds within predefined SLAs.
  • Serving as a resource for resolving complex, escalated issues and collaborating with developers to improve performance and reliability.
Job-Specific

Minimum Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required; sponsorship will not be considered.
  • Must be able to pass a Minimal Background Investigation prior to the start date.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as an MS SharePoint system administrator.
  • Extensive experience with MS SharePoint (2013, 2016, 2019) and Office 365 SharePoint Online.
  • Proven experience configuring and managing Project Web App (PWA) on‑premise and in the cloud.
  • Experience integrating MS SharePoint 365 solutions such as Power Automate and Power BI in an on‑premises environment.
  • SQL Server (2008/2012/2016) administration and disaster recovery skills are a plus.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing SharePoint governance plans.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint Designer, Visio, Info Path, Java, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, C#, HTML5, CSS3, Power Shell, XML, XPath, REST, API, .NET, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, VBA, Microsoft Project, MS Project Server, and PWA.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to MS SharePoint and Project Server/PWA.
  • Experience implementing compliance and discovery features for MS SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, server administration, and operating system fundamentals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills with non‑technical users.
  • Customer‑focused approach with a commitment to high‑quality IT support services.
  • Experience working in an EPA environment is a plus.
  • Working conditions may require occasional evening or weekend work to support system upgrades or resolve critical issues.
Additional Information

Contingent upon the individual’s ability to obtain security clearance.

Compensation

Minimum Salary: $90,000
Maximum Salary: $140,000
