Position Overview
Distributed Computer Systems Analyst – Career Service. Pay: $1,679.41 biweekly.

- Troubleshoot and repair desktop, laptop, server, and other IT hardware and software problems.
- Assist users with identifying and solving computer hardware and software problems.
- Assist users in learning proper use of computer equipment and software.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT systems to provide information or guidance on purchasing and use of computer systems and programs.
- Implement plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
- Conduct and verify data backups of servers under assigned responsibility.
- Conduct comprehensive annual inventories of assigned computer equipment.
- Maintain computer file security while incorporating new software, correcting errors, or managing user access.
- Communicate with users and keep management informed of issues such as data access needs and security concerns.
- Monitor use of data files and regulate access to safeguard information.
- Test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems.
- Monitor system performance and equipment capacity requirements.
- Implement procedures for installing, using, and troubleshooting communications hardware and software.
- Use computer devices and software to prevent unauthorized access to agency data and property.
- Execute plans for distribution, setup, and installation of equipment, wiring, and programs.
- Perform other related work as required.
- Knowledge and experience supporting Windows Server 2019 and desktop computers running Windows 11.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and OWA.
- Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Knowledge and experience working with Backup Exec and Trend Micro Anti‑virus software.
- Knowledge of distributed processing operations, procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of problem‑solving techniques.
- Knowledge of computers and software.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of computer systems analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to understand and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to process information logically and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to remotely troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop, laptop, server, and other IT hardware and software.
- Experience assisting users with hardware and software issues and training users on proper system use.
- Experience supporting data backup processes and system security practices.
- Experience conducting equipment inventories and maintaining asset accountability.
- Experience monitoring system performance and supporting multi‑site environments.
