- A high school diploma or its equivalent and seven (7) years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming, two (2) years of which must have been in systems programming.
- Completion of a one‑year program of study from a vocational/technical school in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
- Five (5) years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming, two (2) years of which must have been in systems programming and either (1) completion of a 720‑classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or accredited community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry), or (2) 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college coursework from an accredited institution which includes four courses in computer science or management information systems.
- A bachelor’s degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming, two (2) years of which must have been in systems programming.
- A bachelor’s degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or management information systems and three (3) years of experience in computer systems analysis, and/or computer programming, two (2) years of which must have been in systems programming.
- A master’s degree (6 years) from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or management information systems and two (2) years of experience in systems programming.
- A doctorate (8 years) from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or management information systems and one (1) year of experience in systems programming.
Graduates utilizing education attained in the United States to meet the minimum requirements of a position will not be appointed until verification of the applicable degree has been obtained. Foreign trained graduates utilizing a degree attained outside of the United States to meet the minimum requirements of a position must provide a copy of a credential evaluation conducted by an Approved Credential Evaluation Agency.
Job DutiesThis position resides within the Office of Agriculture Technology Services and reports to the Information Technology Business Consultant Manager – SES. The role is responsible for the design, development, administration, and support of enterprise applications, cloud platforms, collaboration systems, and automation tools used throughout the Department. The position oversees SharePoint Online, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, and AI‑enabled systems to support efficient, secure, and modern service delivery.
The incumbent collaborates with program areas, business stakeholders, and technical teams to implement solutions that improve workflows, enhance data access, automate processes, and strengthen the Department’s digital capability. The position requires strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to lead or support complex technological initiatives across the agency.
Leads and supports the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 technologies. Oversees site architecture, configuration, SPFx components, and integration with enterprise systems. Develops low‑code and no‑code solutions to enhance business operations.
