General Purpose of Job
The IT/OT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining critical IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) systems, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires expertise in industrial control systems, SCADA, outage management, distributed energy resource management, and compliance with NERC CIP standards. The administrator will oversee integration and operation of IT/OT infrastructures including network components, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, and backup solutions.
Requirements- Education: Minimum:
Four (4) year bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field. Job‑related experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis. - Experience: Minimum:
Four (4) years with Active Directory management, VMware vSphere, and backup/replication/clustering technologies focusing on Disaster Recovery;
Minimum:
Two (2) years with enterprise storage, SAN integration, Microsoft Exchange Office 365, Entra, and Azure. Preferred:
Experience with in an electric utility. - Certifications: Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. - Other Requirements: Ability to work irregular hours for assignment completion and to respond to emergencies; normal work hours Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.‑5 p.m.; successful completion of background check, physical and drug screen.

NERC CIP compliance, Industrial Control Systems management, Active Directory administration, Virtualization technologies, Enterprise Storage management, Cloud & Office 365 administration, Network infrastructure, Backup & Disaster Recovery solutions, Cybersecurity best practices, Technical troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with NERC CIP Version 3 and/or Version 5 standards.
- Administer and maintain Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA, DCS, OMS, and DERMS.
- Manage rack servers, blade servers, and virtualization platforms to ensure high availability.
- Configure network components (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Administer Active Directory including group policies, user permissions, and authentication protocols.
- Maintain and optimize VMware vSphere environments including vCenter, HA, and FT.
- Implement and manage enterprise storage solutions (NAS, FC, iSCSI SANs) integrated with VMware platforms.
- Support Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Entra, and Azure cloud environments.
- Develop and implement backup, replication, and clustering strategies for Disaster Recovery preparedness.
- Apply IT/OT cybersecurity measures to safeguard critical infrastructure.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and problem resolution of IT/OT systems.
