You will be responsible for administration and support of the US payroll system architecture and oversee internally developed or 3rd party payroll software system administration for the US firm. You will also oversee payroll’s architecture design, development, maintenance, integration, and the support model for US payroll applications. You will administer the timely running of programs that disburse net pay, taxes, garnishments and deductions for US personnel and US Partner draw.

You will also be point of contact for system reengineering, and requirements definitions for enhancement requests. Co-develop end user procedures, guidelines, and documentation in support of software applications.

• Manage payroll interface design, development and implementation, new company set up, financial data changes, wage types, tables and locations. Adhere to payroll systems architecture in design decisions to ensure the integrity of the systems processing accuracy.
• Monitor inbound interface activity, payroll system uploads (garnishments), preliminary reporting, over payments per checklist. Coordinate with functional owners and the payroll service center to resolve all open items prior to finalizing the payroll.
• Oversees the finalization of On Cycle payrolls, provides guidance and troubleshooting assistance with the running of Off Cycle payrolls and oversees the running of multi-jurisdiction payroll process and procedures.
• Oversees ADP interfaces to include Wage Payments, Tax Services, Garnishment Services and General Ledger.
• Provide guidance on Time System Management: timekeeping rules and policies, ensuring accurate configuration and proper system functionality.
• Responsible for running and providing reporting per checklist and identify and share errors for review and resolution by functional teams.
• Actively participate in Payroll leadership meetings.
• Engage in governance creation and process.
• Oversee payroll environment test platforms for ongoing maintenance of payroll systems. Coordinate with 3rd party payroll providers and HR system IT environment managers to establish refresh cadence and ongoing activities. Establish and coordinate major testing activities to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Serves as the project manager, and collaborates with various internal teams on system service packs, releases, and upgrades.
• Oversee configuration, manage, and process payroll for the multi-jurisdiction process to adhere to state and local legislation. Run 3rd party payroll providers programs to reallocate wage and tax on a quarterly basis for EY US employees working in a state or locality outside of their normal work location. Oversee continued enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy of the program and reduce costs to the firm.
• Act as a liaison to various payroll vendors of the US firm and helps coordinate the processing of vendor interfaces.
• Collaborates with payroll team to resolve errors, ensure consistencies and 3rd party vendor relations.

• Strong understanding of payroll applications (e.g., ADP Global View, Service Now, other common payroll applications) for reporting capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10 plus years of experience. Experience in a professional services firm desired.
