POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a seasoned, executive‑level Program Director to lead a large‑scale enterprise Data Modernization Program for a leading Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance organization. Based hybrid out of Sarasota, FL, this critical role will serve as the strategic center for transforming the organization's legacy, siloed data infrastructure into a modern, cloud‑native, and highly scalable data platform built on Databricks and medallion architecture principles.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of deep technical domain knowledge in data engineering, insurance business acumen, and elite program execution capabilities. Beyond managing schedules and budgets, you will act as a thought leader, helping executive stakeholders navigate ambiguity, guiding high‑level architectural decisions, and ensuring organizational alignment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own end‑to‑end accountability for the Data Modernization Program’s scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and quality control across all active work streams.
  • Establish and drive robust program governance structures, including steering committees, executive operating rhythms, decision frameworks, and clear RACI models.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CIO and business unit leaders, sharing pattern recognition and best practices from prior data transformations to pre‑empt failure modes and accelerate decision‑making.
  • Partner with data engineering leads to enforce standardizations for data contracts, schema versioning, partitioning strategies, and metadata management across raw, silver, and gold zones.
  • Lead the RFP, vendor selection, and contract negotiation processes for cloud platforms, systems integrators, and data integration tools; manage and govern embedded third‑party delivery teams to ensure delivery quality and alignment.
